Lo que necesitas saber sobre los cólicos
Los cólicos del recién nacido son algo común y ocurren más frecuentemente en bebés de entre 0 a 4 meses.
Existen múltiples creencias populares en cuanto a cuál es el origen de los cólicos. Por ejemplo, algunas familias lo asocian a gases o dificultad para eliminarlos; otras a hambre (muy común la creencia de que la leche materna no alimenta lo suficiente, o le hace mal al bebé) o, incluso, malas energías.
Lo cierto es que los cólicos son periodos previsibles de un malestar significativo en un bebé sano y bien alimentado, y no existe una certeza científica de qué es lo que los causa. Algunos expertos lo asocian a la inmadurez natural del aparato digestivo, a las crisis de crecimiento (y el dolor asociado), periodos de sobrestimulación, entre otros.
Los cólicos en términos generales no pueden evitarse y son el problema más común en el cuidado de bebés pequeños y recién nacidos. A pesar de eso, es posible ayudar al bebé a regular el malestar, otorgándole a el confort que necesita.

1. Portea:
practica portear a tu bebé diariamente. La posición vertical, el movimiento y la postura de ranita favorecen la eliminación de gases y el estreñimiento. Recuerda que, en bebes pequeños, lo más recomendado es fular o bandolera.
2. Siempre piel con piel:
Tómate unos minutos al día para generar el piel con piel, puede ser en la cama o con Portabebé, tú con el torso desnudo y tu bebé sólo con su pañal. Si hace frío, es ideal que se cubran juntos.
3. Masajes:
Masajea a tu bebe frecuentemente con aceites para masajes (idealmente lo más natural posible) de almendra dulce o caléndula, ejerciendo una suave presión y masajeando todo el cuerpo desde abajo hacia arriba.
Estas prácticas ayudan a elevar los niveles de oxcitocina (la hormona del amor y el vínculo), disminuye el estrés, regula las funciones internas e, incluso, favorece el crecimiento.
